Could I alert your readers to the now-dangerous state of the pavement at the corner of George Street and Cornmarket (outside Debenhams, before the first bus stop)?

I tripped and almost fell there Wednesday morning – and shortly afterwards met a lady who was less fortunate.

She suffered extensive and severe bruising after tripping over the same slab.

I recall that the local authorities spent half the national debt repeatedly laying paving in the area. Well, further work is needed, preferably before there is an even more serious accident – and the lawyers start forming a queue.
