I refer to the letter from R. Lee re. the removal of Press TV by Ofcom from those available on the numerous television programmes available now on satellite.

He talks almost of a conspiracy on this matter, which is the norm for complainants who do not understand or want to understand the reasons behind the decision.

Forgetting its political bias as the mouthpiece of Iran in the “real world”, why anyone would want to watch this amateurish channel is beyond me.

The majority of the announcers are far from the professionals we have here and, in line with the prejudice against women, the few women announcers who come on are clad from head to toe as though they are about to go on a journey to the arctic.

The only thing worth watching is the great comedian and ex-MP George Galloway, and his conspiracies and other submissions which are a great source of humour. I am sure he does not believe half of what he is stating or alleging but the pay is good and he is a big fish in a very small pond.

So, Mr Lee, get a life and start seeing the world as it is, rather than through a state-run TV channel, which tries to make us believe everyone else is mistreating people.

In reality, the regime in Iran is one that creates misery and strife for its long-suffering population.
