Why are all these mothers making such a fuss about disapproval over breast feeding in public? Surely their sense of pride and self-respect shows them how to solve the ‘problem’.

I had six children and arranged my day so that the baby was fed before we left the house. I could then go shopping before he or she needed another feed.

I would not have dreamed of doing such a thing in public. It is the baby’s time when they need closeness, love and your full attention. They cannot eat to order and should not be made part of a demonstration.

And before anyone rushes to put pen to paper to call me a prude, I am not. It is just that I feel that something beautiful and natural should be kept private.
