Drayton secured their first points of the season with a well deserved victory over Marston at Lockway on Sunday morning. Drayton had the better of the opening exchanges, with Joey Bridgman causing the Marston defence many problems with his pace and movement. When Marston threatened, Brandon Lee and Olly Mawby were up to the challenge in defence. Drayton opened the scoring midway through the first half when Andreas Sene weaved his way through the Marston defence before slotting the ball home. Marston had the chance to equalise just before half time when they were awarded a penalty, but they were unable to capitalize when the spot kick missed the target. Drayton continued to have the lions share of the possession during the second half and wrapped up the three points with further strikes from Joey Bridgman and Andreas Sene. A good all round team performance. Well played boys.
