Oxford City Council is right to look at creating a sensible framework to limit the number of sex establishments.
It is an issue that needs sensible and mature debate but council leader Bob Price betrays that with his claim that without a cap we could see a city centre that looked like the Reeperbahn in Hamburg.
Hamburg is a city of 1.8m people and the Reeperbahn has been internationally notorious for decades.
Oxford would never be in threat of being overwhelmed by the dirty mac brigade so let’s have a policy based on common sense and not cheap alarmist nonsense.
