Didcot made one or two changes from the previous weeks game wth Jack Cooper returning to centre back and Isaac Alder on the right of midfield. Casuals went against a strong wind first half and dealt with it really well, Lewis Aprea, Adam Fairhurst, Euan Pill and Jack Cooper keeping St Edmunds to very few chances and AJ Hart was able to pick up any shots which ran through to him. Didcot took the lead when Lee Davis rounded the keeper and shot in from a tight angle after good work from Jordan Smith. Casuals dominated the rest of the first half but could not increase their lead but St Edmunds always looked like they might get something with their quick forwards getting behind Didcot's defence. The second half Didcot continued to take the game to their opponents and got the second goal when a long clearance from AJ Hart bounced over everyone for George Kay to run on and lob the keeper brilliantly to increase the lead. Will Baker and Lee Davis set up the third for Ryan Fisher, who pounced on the rebound after the keeper failed to hold the initial shot. St Edmunds looked good on the break and AJ Hart had to be quick off his line to clear and make one great save to keep a clean sheet. Casuals wrapped up the scoring with just moments left when Jordan Smith went past two defenders and cut the ball back to give Joe Marriott a simple tap in. Overall a great team performance which has been coming for some time and is reward for the boy's hard work in previous weeks.
