St Edmunds hosted Didcot Casuals Yellow on 8th October, at Boxhill in Abingdon for a good day of football. Both sides played a very physical game but all played in a extremely good manner. Didcot Casuals side fought hard for every ball that they went into challenge for from start to finish, St Edmunds were able to hold their ground and produce some excellent tackles themselves, retain possession of the ball for much of the match, and capitalise on several scoring opportunities. St Edmunds managed to get on the score sheet first with two goals in the early minutes of the half from Harry Thomas, Ollie Deans. But Didcot Casuals made some brilliant challenges, who were able to absorb with some superb defending.

With all the attacking that Didcot Casuals Yellow attempted the St Edmunds defence also did a brilliant job of holding their line and turning Didcot Casuals attacks into St Edmunds counter attacks. In the second half, St Edmunds came out strong again with two early goals and sealed the three points, with another goal from Harry Thomas and a superb strike from Josh Cox from outside the box. But the most impressive play was St Edmunds ability to find space and all with some excellent passing which opened up the Didcot defence as the ball was slipped to Ollie Deans who scored his second of the game. Also impressive was Didcot Casuals Yellow determination to fight for every ball to the final whistle and a very good 5-0 win to keep up with the league leaders.
