WHEN so many people, myself included, use this page to complain about things, I would like to take this opportunity to say thank you.

My husband has been a patient at The Churchill Hospital since the services moved from the JR. He has been an out-patient and recently an in-patient for about eight weeks.

The staff on the Clinical Haematology ward are exceptional.

They took us to their hearts, looking after both my husband and all my family.

Nothing was too much trouble, from the people bringing his food, to the nurses and auxiliaries, and the housekeeper and cleaners.

They bring so much love to their expert care, and allowed us to spend precious time with him.

Sadly, he died, but even then, they looked after us so well, allowing us to have time with him, and they were so respectful and kind.

They just went the extra mile in their care of him every day.

Thank you to all the team, Dr Tim Littlewood, Andy Penecott, Sarah Spence, Suzy, and Toby, and specialist nurse Pamela Roberts.

When hospitals get so much bad press, it is my pleasure to give my praises to this wonderful team.
