I HAD to smile when George Osborne announced the extension of the council tax freeze.
In the village where I live, in David Cameron’s backyard, there has been a council tax rise!
Cottsway Housing Association is doubling the charge for litter picking and weed spraying –- a contract they give to West Oxfordshire District Council.
Of course, this tax only applies to council/Cottsway tenants, not private housing. It’s nice to see Cottsway and West Oxfordshire District Council have the interests of tenants at heart – if not their pockets.
