Sir, In response to Mark Ladbrooke's letter (September 8), I would like to confirm that Oxford City Council is not planning to ban all leafleting in the city centre. The proposals relate solely to commercial marketing. Leafleting for religious, charitable or political purposes, such as those described by Mark Ladbrooke, will not be affected.
