THE progress of the Europa School – the first free school to be started in the county – will be interesting to observe.

The plan is to run a school that teaches subjects bilingually, either English and German or English and French, and eventually cover all age groups from reception at four through to 18 years.

With a potential pupil number of 800, it will certainly be a big undertaking.

It may not be everyone’s ideal, but it can only offer greater choice and variety to the education on offer in our county.
