A driver has been taken to hospital with a head injury following a crash involving two lorries on the northbound A34.

The accident happened just before 4.30pm near junction nine of the M40 and resulted in one lorry jack-knifing across both lanes of the carriageway.

The injured driver was taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford by the ambulance service.

Traffic is backed up to the Peartree Roundabout.
