Fifteen Anglo-Saxon skeletons unearthed in January were reburied on Saturday.
The remains of 14 women and one man, dating from as early as AD640, were buried at the Church of the Immaculate Conception, in the Causeway.
They were discovered under the church car park in January and archaeologists had wanted the bones placed in a museum.
The Ministry of Justice said they were not of national significance and allowed the church to rebury them.
