A NEW website designed by and for young people has been launched by Oxfordshire County Council.
Three hundred children from across Oxfordshire helped designed the oxme.info website, which caters for youngsters aged eight to 19.
It offers targeted advice and information on what to do in the county, children’s rights and handling money.
Greg Holyoake, 12, from Cherwell School, who worked on the project, said: “Right from the beginning I knew it would be a great website.
“It will be much easier and simpler for children and young people in Oxfordshire to find out about the county and what it can offer.”
The councillor responsible for young people, Louise Chapman, added: “We know that young people increasingly look to the internet for information and advice.
“We’re very excited to have involved them in the process from the beginning and I’m confident that OXME will quickly become the definitive website for children and young people in Oxfordshire.”
