HOMES and businesses were still without electricity last night after underground cables were accidentally cut in Witney.
More than 1,250 homes and business lost power after workmen digging up the road damaged cables in Bridge Street at 10.45am.
A spokesman for Southern Electric said the blackout was over for a majority of the properties with an hour.
But some homes in Crawley Road and Quarry Road in Witney were still waiting for power to be restored yesterday evening.
