A MAN wielding a machete was tackled by staff and customers at an Oxford supermarket this evening.
The man entered the Co-op in Rose Hill at about 8.30pm.
Police were called to the scene by members of the public.
They later arrested a man on suspicion of robbery.
He is currently in police custody.
A police spokesman said he believed some members of the public had received minor injuries during the incident but no one was seriously hurt.
