RE park and ride charges from October.
Drivers who work in Oxford, or shoppers visiting Oxford will have to pay £1.50 a day to park in Redbridge or Pear Tree, from October.
So another tax for drivers who shop and work in Oxford city on top of the bus fare.
People who want to visit London (park in Thornhill) won’t have to pay. How fair is that?
Is the mechanism in place to purchase the ‘permits’? Will the pay and display machines work properly this time and will there be a change machine available?
Will permits be available online so we don’t all have to queue up at the county council payment office every four weeks?
I work in Oxford so have to use the service every week day, I cannot afford to use the service weekends, when the charges are introduced.
