Commuters this morning face delays of up to an hour on the Cotswold line, operated by First Great Western.
People using the line will encounter the problems between Worcester Shrub Hill and Oxford caused by late running engineering work.
The train company is supplementing trains with buses when trains are diverted or cancelled.
Work to open up double track on the Cotswold line has taken longer than planned, causing the disruption.
