Youngsters had a go at blacksmithing in the working industrial museum Combe Mill.
The Grade II* listed sawmill near Long Hanborough was in steam on Sunday and visitors got to watch it in action.
A team of volunteers demonstrated wood turning and blacksmithing, and youngsters made their own fire pokers.
Among those taking part was nine-year-old Nathaniel Hoskin, left.
He said: “I enjoyed myself very much, especially making the poker.”
His mother, Heather, 50, said: “It was a really lovely day and very good for the kids.
“There was so much to look at and the volunteers were very friendly.”
The mill is about to undergo a major revamp after receiving £768,000 from the Heritage Lottery Fund.
