Young musicians gave a concert at Woodstock Youth Centre in 1971 after a four-day course of instruction. Among them were three members of Stonesfield Silver Band pictured immediately below – left to right, Karen Howes, 14, John Maisey, nine, and Christine Goldstein, eight.
The sundries stall run by Robert Cutler and David Griffin at a sale in the village hall in 1967 proved popular, with plenty of potential buyers. The sale raised £35 for Stonesfield Catholic Church.
Joanne Tyrrell, 11, was crowned Rose Queen in 1983, the year the village primary school celebrated its 150th anniversary. Joanne received her crown at the school fete from the school’s oldest surviving pupil, 77-year-old Gertie Dore.
