Rail enthusiasts old and young flocked to the Chinnor & Princes Risborough Railway on Sunday for its annual gala day.
All the trains in the railway’s fleet, along with visiting Great Western Railway pannier tank locomotive No 5786, got a run during the event.
Spokesman Graham Tolley said: “It was an extremely busy day. We couldn’t fit in everyone who wanted to get on board some of the trains.
“The attendance was up with our spring gala, which was a record day.”
Among the families at the event were the Frasers, from Naphill, in Buckinghamshire. Parents Sally and Stuart took along their children Lauren and Wilson.
Wilson said: “I liked the green train best and the carriages.”
