Twelve managers from Pets at Home stores donated one day of their time to repaint the an animal charity’s base in Bucknell Road, Ardley, near Bicester.

The group, which included managers from Bicester, Banbury, Oxford and further afield, painted the reception area, the exercise yard and the kennel belonging to german shepherd Savannah.

Charity trustee Annabelle Pottle said the firm contacted the kennels out of the blue and offered its services.

She said: “It looks amazing, they have all been so nice. The group really threw themselves into it and have been working really hard.”

Pets at Home also donated 30 bags of dog food, which will last the kennels about six weeks.

At the moment Ardley Kennels has 18 dogs that need rehoming – from puppies to animals aged about 12.
