POLICE in Blackbird Leys seized cannabis plants in a drugs raid yesterday.
The team found “seven or eight” plants in the back garden of a home in the area’s Peregrine Road.
An 18-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of cultivation of cannabis and later released with a police caution.Police carried out the raid after a tip off from a member of the public.
Sergeant Rob Axe, of the Blackbird Leys neighbourhood police team, pictured with PCs Russell Stevenson and Ben Jones, taking the plants out during the raid, said: “We are grateful to the community for letting us know these things. It might not be a lot of plants, but it is still illegal.
“This shows that we will act on any information we receive from the public.”
