WHEN the Moulin Rouge cinema at Headington, Oxford, booked a film called The Fast Lady, manager Philip Hollowood decided to hold a special showing.

So who better to invite than the fast ladies themselves – a group of Oxford midwives?

They are pictured with Mr Hollowood at the cinema entrance before seeing the film.

Mr Hollowood also made all babies born in Oxford that week, and their parents, life guests of the cinema. When the picture was taken midway through the week, 12 children had qualified.
