The varied fare is reflected in the Changing Faces of Wolvercote, one of the series of popular local history books published by Robert Boyd, of Witney. Compiled by Ann Spokes Symonds, a former Lord Mayor of Oxford who has lived in the parish of Wolvercote for 58 years, it is packed with information and pictures, two of which are shown here.
The book, which also covers Wytham and Godstow, was first published in 1997, but has now been updated and republished to meet public demand.
