Dancers have been celebrating a haul of awards and some great exam results.
Over the past few months, members of Bicester Dance Academy, based in The Courtyard Centre, Launton Road, have taken part in a host of festivals, competitions – and more than 30 of the dancers were awarded top marks in modern and tap exams.
Among the events they have taken part in was the Mid Bucks Festival of Dance, Chesham Dance Festival and Waddesdon Manor’s Music, Art, Drama and Dance.
Dance school principal Sarah Tree said: “This term we have been performing at various events, including a choreography competition and dance festivals “The students were outstanding and won several gold cups and trophies, it has been wonderful.”
Dancer Charlotte Smith, 11, said: “Festivals are great and winning was a special moment.”
Another dancer Amy Crisp, 12, added: “I was a really enjoyable experience and I’m looking forward to doing it all again next year.”
The dance school runs 35 classes at the Courtyard Youth Arts Centre and teaches children from age three, and adults.
