YOUNGSTERS are enjoying a new pre-school thanks to a £356,000 grant.
Stanford in the Vale Pre-School officially opened its new building on Saturday.
The 41-year-old school was based at the Old School House for 29 years before moving to the Village Hall in 1999.
Construction started last July after the cash from Oxfordshire County Council.
Pre-school chairman Helen Murray said: “Many of these children are going to start school in September and without our new village amenity they would not have had the opportunity to experience a pre-school environment in preparation for their transfer to school.”
The new building is on the recreation ground off Hunters Field.
Chairman of Oxfordshire County Council Patrick Greene, who officially opened the building, said: “The new building provides a proper home for the school and is beneficial to the children.”
