AS long-term Jericho residents, we totally disagree with Julia Woods (ViewPoints, July 7).
A new Tesco store will be welcome in our area, as it will provide a cheaper and higher quality alternative to the high-cost traders who have had the monopoly for too long in Jericho.
People who are on a low income depend on such outlets, especially if they are disabled or have difficulty walking into town.
We look forward to seeing a Tesco in Walton Street, the sooner the better, for all of us.
