A PUBLIC meeting organised by Chipping Norton residents opposed to supermarket chain Sainsbury’s plan for a second store in the town will take place on Thursday.
The meeting at the Crown & Cushion Hotel, in High Street, starts at 6.30pm. All are welcome to attend.
Among the matters to be discussed will be the formation of an action committee and a publicity campaign.
Sainsbury’s, which already owns a store in the town centre, wants to open a new supermarket in London Road on part of the former Parker Knoll furniture factory site.
