A 45-YEAR-OLD woman was killed in the early hours of this morning after the silver BMW she was driving hit a tree near Bampton.
The crash happened in Station Road towards the town at about 2am and the driver, who is from the area, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The car left the road on a stretch known locally as Wood Yard Bend and struck a wooden fence panel before hitting the tree.
Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.
