Albert Browne, 71, of Pegasus Road, Oxford, admitted drink driving in Cuddesdon Way, Oxford, on March 14, namely having 59 microgrammes of alcohol in 100ml of breath, above the legal limit of 35 microgrammes. Fined £165, a £15 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs. Banned from driving for 16 months.

Karen Ricketts, 41, of Gifford Gardens, London, admitted shoplifting hair crimpers, a watch and a picture frame from Argos in Oxford on December 16 and commission of a further offence while subject to a conditional discharge. Fined £85, a £15 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs.

Fergus Yeadon, 31, of Cliveden Road, Taplow, admitted driving without insurance and drink driving on the A4142 Oxford Eastern Bypass on March 13, namely having 112 microgrammes of alcohol in 100ml of breath, above the legal limit of 35 microgrammes. Fined £530, a £15 victims’ surcharge and £60 costs. Banned from driving for four years.

Brian Brown, 47, of Midhurst Gardens, Uxbridge, admitted shoplifting clothes valued at £200 from Whistles in Oxford on March 27 and commission of a further offence while subject to a suspended sentence. Fined £200 and a £15 victims’ surchage but fined deemed paid by being jailed for one month.

Simon White, 32, of Wynbush Road, Oxford, admitted shoplifting a tracksuit valued at £53.98 from Sports Direct in Cowley on November 27; convicted of assault by beating in Oxford on November 28. Existing community order revoked and original offences of three counts of shoplifting and one of going equipped for theft resentenced. Given a 12-week jail term, suspended for a year. Given 12 months’ supervision and a six-month drug-rehabilitation order. Also ordered to pay £100 costs and £50 compensation.

Dean Doyle, 27, of Songers Close, Oxford, admitted failing to attend a follow-up drug assessment on February 15. Given a six-month conditional discharge.

David Murphy, 32, of Gordon Woodward Way, Oxford, admitted shoplifting two bottles of wine valued at £11.38 from Tesco in Oxford on March 7. Fined £80, a £15 victims' surcharge and £30 costs.

Hayley Cox, 29, of Henry Taunt Close, Oxford, admitted shoplifting a fragrance box valued at £32.50 from Boots in Reading on October 1; shoplifting meat and fabric conditioner valued at £43.20 from Sainsbury’s in Oxford on February 8; failing to attend a drug assessment on October 15; commission of a further offence while subject to a conditional discharge and failing to surrender to court bail on October 2. Original offence of shoplifting resentenced. Given a six-month drug-rehabilitation requirement and 12 months’ supervision. Told to pay £25 costs.

Matthew Morris, 33, of Nowell Road, Oxford, admitted shoplifting a travel hair dryer, Diamond Peel skin rejuvenator and a Beauty Works machine valued at £66.97 from T K Maxx in Oxford on December 12 and failing to surrender to court bail on December 31. Given a 12-month conditional discharge.

Andrew Glasgow, 22, of Horspath Road, Oxford, admitted failing to comply with the requirements of a community order by failing to attend unpaid work on March 5. Given an extra 10 hours’ unpaid work and told to pay £25 costs.

Ashley Powell, 20, of Landsdowne Road, Faringdon, admitted failing to comply with the requirements of a community order by failing to attend unpaid work on February 20. Given an additional eight days’ Employment Activity Requirement.

Martin East, 23, of Weyland Road, Oxford, admitted failing to comply with the requirements of a community order by failing to provide evidence as instructed on January 20. Unpaid work requirement extended from 150 hours to 158 and told to pay £25 costs.

Thomas Hayday, 22, of Jack Argent Close, Oxford, admitted failing to comply with the requirements of a community order by failing to work as instructed on November 14 and March 6. Told to pay £50 costs and community order revoked. Original offence of unlawful wounding re-sentenced. Told to do 88 hours’ unpaid work and participate in COVAID for 10 days.

Christopher Mollart, 60, of Elm Tree Close, Littlemore, admitted failing to comply with the requirements of a community order by arriving late to unpaid work on March 6. Given eight additional hours’ unpaid work.

David Nolan, 30, of Lyndworth Close, Oxford, admitted failing to comply with the requirements of a community order by failing to attend unpaid work on March 6. Given an additional 20 hours’ unpaid work and told to pay £20 costs.

Thomas Samsworth, 26, of Meadow Close, Farmoor, admitted failing to comply with the requirements of a community order by failing to attend supervision on March 9. Given an additional eight hours’ unpaid work and told to pay £50 costs.

Colin Edwards, 33, of Thames Street, Oxford, admitted failing to comply with the requirements of a community order by failing to report for supervision on March 8. Drug-rehabilitation requirement extended by a month and told to pay £20 costs.

Zoe McNab, 35, of Clements Way, Faringdon, admitted shoplifting food from Martin’s in Faringdon on January 27 and February 2, and admitted commission of a further offence while subject to a suspended sentence. Told to £5 compensation and £45 costs. Operational period of suspended sentenced extended by three months.
