OXFORD United chairman Kelvin Thomas was celebrating last night after winning a major honour at the Oxfordshire Business Awards.
Mr Thomas, 38, claimed the Shaw Gibbs Young Business Person of the Year title following a successful season both on and off the pitch.
The Blenheim Palace Business of the Year was Land Rover parts and accessories dealer Allmakes, based at Milton Park, near Didcot, while the Shaw Gibbs Business Person of the Year honour went to Paul Lindley, founder of Henley-based organic baby food business Ella’s Kitchen.
And Michael O’Regan, co-founder of Milton Park software firm Research Machines, now known as RM Education, was presented with the Lifetime Achievement Award.
A total of 15 awards were presented in front of 500 guests at the Four Pillars Hotel in Sandford-on-Thames, near Oxford.
