Sir – In your obituary (June 2) you did not mention Dr Ann Mcpherson’s governorship at Cherwell School — distinguished by her sharp questioning, her trenchantly expressed views, and her willingness to think and pursue lateral thoughts that sometimes left the rest scrabbling to catch up — and that could make life difficult for whoever was chairing the meeting!
But what always came through was her deep concern for young people — her own and other children, a concern that shone through her books on health issues for teenagers.
