Sir – Since the reorganisation of postal delivery staff the service has become unreliable. I have today received all my next door neighbour’s post, but none of my own post. I regularly get post for the same house number as mine but for the next street along. For variety, I get letters addressed to random homes from different streets across my neighbourhood. It’s stopped being funny now. A few weeks ago, I opened by mistake an official looking letter delivered to me but actually for next-door. This contained confidential personal information which was embarrassing.

I’m a nice guy and pop around with my new post-delivering hobby, what bothers me is how much of my own post is going into a too busy person’s bin and is my personal information being checked over by an identity thief?

The post office produces statistics saying how much they have improved their service and reduced costs. I would like the local post service managers to know that the service is unreliable and is losing customer loyalty.
