A teenager has died after his motorbike collided with a car on the A41 Bicester to Aylesbury road.
The motorcyclist, a 17-year-old boy from Buckingham, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the car was not injured.
The incident happened at 10.05pm on Wednesday night near the Piddington turn.
Police said the Honda Jazz car may have been overtaking a lorry just before, or at the time of the collision, with the teenager’s black Sky Jet motorcycle.
The road was closed until about 5.30am yesterday morning while collision investigators to examined the scene.
PC Dave Mitchell, from the Road Death Investigation Unit, said: “It appears the Honda Jazz may have been overtaking a Tesco’s delivery lorry either shortly prior or at the time of the collision.
“I would appeal for anyone who saw any of these vehicles or witnessed the collision to contact me as soon as possible.”
Anyone with any information should contact PC Mitchell on 08458 505505, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
