FOUR men burst into an Oxford house and attacked the occupants with a hammer, metal bar and pieces of wood.
The attack took place between 11pm and 11.15pm on Saturday night in Mortimer Road, Rose Hill.
The four men, who were dressed in dark clothing, forced their way into the property.
After the attack, they were seen running towards Nowell Road.
The three men inside, aged 29, 36 and 45, were left with cuts and bruises after the attack. The victims were taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital for treatment, but later discharged.
Dc Iain Spencer said: “The only description we have of the four men is that they were all wearing dark clothing.
“I am looking to speak to anyone who saw these men acting suspiciously in the area before the incident, or who saw them run off in the direction of Nowell road afterwards. This was not a random attack and the local neighbourhood team has increased patrols in the area.”
Witnesses should call 08458 505505 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
