Oxfordshire lost 11-6 to British team champions Essex in the Inter-Counties Youth League at Witham Town FC.
The under 18s were pipped 5-4, with their wins coming from Luke Stallwood, Stephen Wright, who recorded a 20.90 average and a 180, Ryan Bull (20.26 average) and man of the match Jack Lucas (22.48 average).
Oxon’s under 21 ladies lost 3-0. Kevin Smith was narrowly beaten in the decider as the under 21 men went down 3-2.
Dean Lockyer (19.71 average plus a 180) and man of the match Tom Baughan (23.12 average) posted wins for Oxon to level the game after they had been 2-0 down.
