OCA League Divisions 5-11

NICK Judd claimed 5-11 as Brill edged out Horley 2nd by one wicket in Division 5.

Batting first, Horley were all out for 133, Matthew Burden top-scoring with 45.

Brill reached 137-9 in their reply for a narrow win.

In Division 6, Simon Burns was the star of the show with 6-42, helping Wolvercote to a 60-run victory at Kilkenny.

The home side were dismissed for 97 thanks to Burns’s haul.

Earlier, Wolvercote had posted 157 all out, Ben Proctor top-scoring with 39.

Thomas Swann claimed six wickets in Shrivenham 2nd’s 75-run victory over Minster Lovell 2nd.

Steve Bowles (61) saw Shrivenham to 207-8, then Minster were bowled out for 132 in reply.

Richard Green scored a superb 107 to help Hanney to a 118-run win over Westbury 2nd in Division 7.

Hanney rattled up 237-8, despite Dan Hopkins taking 5-60.

Westbury were shot out for 119 in reply as Tim Eltham took 4-18.

John Kitson led the way with 77 to help Kidlington beat Kings Sutton by six wickets.

The home side set 162-8, but Kitson and Chris East (38) saw Kidlington to 165-4.

Matthew Duester claimed 5-20 to help early Division 8 leaders Chadlington 2nd to a five-wicket win at Sunningwell.

Duester’s haul saw Sunningwell bowled out for 127, then Jason Chipchase (41) and Dan Townsend (35) saw Chadlington to 128-5.

In Division 9, The Leys was more like Slimbridge as there were an astonishing 11 ducks in Witney Swifts 2nd’s 26-run win over Minster Lovell 3rd.

The home side were shot out for 87 as youngsters Robert Saxby took 4-27 and Elliott Crowther 3-5.

But Minster fared even worse, crashing to 61 all out, Andy Purdie taking 5-25 and Jack Costar 4-33.

Umar Ishaq hit 103 not out in East Oxford 3rd’s 36-run victory at Kennington 2nd.

The visitors were bowled out for 257, before Idris Mohammed took 4-51 as Kennington were restricted to 221-8 in reply.

East & West Hendred 2nd beat Bampton by 14 runs.

Matthew Williams (5-9) and Julian Easterbrook (4-34) combined as Hendred were bowled out for 109, only for Simon Berry and Matty Turner to take three wickets apiece as Bampton fell to 95 all out in reply.

In Division 10, Michael Tompkins led the way with 94 to help Chipping Norton 2nd to a 96-run victory over Britwell Salome 2nd.

Tom Young took 6-49 to help Westcott 2nd to a 42-run victory over Risinghurst 2nd in Division 11.
