JUST don’t understand how we are called a ‘fair’ country any more. A former marine who was suffering from depression intended to commit suicide, which went terribly wrong, and was given a prison sentence for possessing prohibited firearms (Oxford Mail, May 5).
Where is the counselling and consideration of what this young chap has been through?
The next day you told us about a pensioner who had been drinking and driving and killed a lady and 15-month old baby, who got a suspended 12-month jail term.
Where is the justice? Two lives taken because of sheer selfishness.
