THE Liberal Democrats have lost their leader in Cherwell in a result mirroring the bad night the party suffered in neighbouring West Oxfordshire.
Conservative candidate Lynn Pratt defeated sitting Lib Derm leader Nick Cotter in the Bicester South ward by 677 votes to 550.
In West Oxfordshire Lib Dem leader Richard Andrews lost his seat as a councillor.

The Astons and Heyford - Mike Kerford-Byrnes (Conservative) elected
Ambrosden and Chesterton- Andrew Fulljames (Conservative) elected
