POEMS written by people with mental health problems were performed to hundreds of shoppers in Oxford.
Users of charity Oxfordshire Mind put pen to paper to help share their experiences of what it means to battle mental illness.
On Saturday, the poems and stories were performed in Bonn Square by actors Danny and Mary Scott, of Point Zero Physical Theatre.
Easter shoppers stopped to watch the short plays, which included a description of how one man escaped from a mental hospital.
Mr Scott, right, said it was a brilliant experience.
He said: “Some of the stories were very dramatic and they were received well by those people who stopped to watch.
“We wanted to give these people a voice bang in the centre of Oxford, which I feel we did.”
Oxfordshire Mind was founded in 1967 and aims to promote good mental health by providing services and lobbying and campaigning for positive change.
