A MAN who died in the River Thames on Friday was from Wiltshire, police said.
The man, who was in his 30s, was with his family when the incident happened near Abingdon Marina at about 4.20pm.
Police said seven or eight people were with him, some of whom were his children. The group had been travelling on a boat.
The man’s body was found by police at about 6.30pm, after a large-scale search operation by the emergency services.
The Oxfordshire coroner is expected to release his name on Tuesday.
