Sir – As a resident of Cogges Hill Road, Witney, and opposed to the Cogges Link Road, my heart sank further when I read that a new report states that our houses will be at risk of flooding if this road is built.
During the 2007 floods, it was impossible to cross the footpath over the river to go into the town.
We have, therefore, been concerned that the new road would create greater problems on this piece of land.
Is there no hope that common sense will prevail and this new road will not be constructed?
