A new ‘boutique’ store offering the latest in audio-visual technology has opened in Oxford. Entertainment system manufacturer Meridian has joined forces with Lewis Building Technology to open the unit at the Isis Business Centre, opposite the Mini plant.

Meridian Oxford will be the first outlet for Meridian Audio products in Europe, and provides a showcase for compact entertainment systems, speakers and the Meridian digital media system.

A technical and design consultation area and a fully-equipped theatre for demonstrations of home cinema products completes the layout.

Meridian Audio’s chief marketing officer, Graeme Taylor, said: “We are seeing strong and growing demand for our hand-built products in the South East of England, and Oxford’s location provides us with a fantastic opportunity to respond to this interest with dedicated retail space.”

Lewis Building Technology’s managing director, Justin Rhodes, added: “We are very excited about the new boutique as it provides clients with the opportunity to experience Meridian’s music and home-cinema systems before they buy, in the same way they would want to test-drive and examine the options to customise a new car.”
