INCE Midsomer Murders would appear to be the very incarnation of verisimilitude, painstakingly depicting contemporary everyday life in the shires, perhaps the series should indeed contain a sprinkling of ethnic minorities – as long as the incidence of non-white perpetrators and victims of killings faithfully reflects the latest available statistics, of course.
