Sacha Tolley and John-Ross Graves, of Carterton, were teenage sweethearts. The couple, who have been engaged for three years, have not had an easy ride throughout their eight years together.
Just a few weeks into their fledgling romance John-Ross moved to America but returned early as the pair couldn’t bear to be apart. And after their five-year-old daughter was born, Sacha suffered post natal depression.
She said: “Ross was my rock. I came through the other side with his love and support.”
Despite both working full-time the pair fell on hard times and had to move back in with Sacha’s parents.
“We were there for two years before we finally could afford to move to our own place this January,” she said. “We are complete and utter soul mates.”
