HUNDREDS of young people at Bicester’s Cooper School were given an insight into what could be their future career by a former X-Factor finalist and singer.

Lloyd Daniels was a surprise guest at the annual Going 4 It event and some of the girls were very pleased to see him.

Every year about pupils about to choose their GCSE options are given an insight into the world of work or further education.

Dozens of businesses and organisations set up stalls, including the RAF, Bicester Vets, Wyevale Garden Centre and Young Enterprise.

Bicester Community College principal Jason Clarke said: “For many Bicester students this event triggers new ambition and for others it acts as an inspiration.

“Going 4 It provides them with an excellent snapshot of the world of business and what their part in it could be; it shows them how subjects they enjoy studying at college and are good at can be translated into career opportunities.”
