STAFF at Oxfordshire’s hospitals have been putting their hearts into launching a charity fundraising drive.

The Oxford Radcliffe Hospital’s Trust’s charitable funds team has launched a fundraising drive for the Oxford Heart Centre.

Put Your Heart into It is month-long campaign of events held to raise awareness about the £29m Oxford Heart Centre. It aims to raise another £2m to provide facilities and create a more comfortable setting for the 20,000 patients a year expected to use it.

More than £860,000 has already been raised by the campaign, which will help to fund extra facilities for patients as well as enabling the development of new treatments and new conference facilities.

Marianne Julebin, from the Oxford Radcliffe Hospitals NHS Trust, said: “We would love to hear from anyone who would like to organise their own heart fundraising event.”
