IT is good to see some flexibility shown in the Government’s decision to allow Australian-born Vaarunika Dharmapala to stay, despite her falling foul of immigration changes.
Strictly speaking, Ms Dharmapala was no longer eligible to stay here but, for once, immigration officials have shown some common sense in applying the rules.
