LOTTERY winners armed with megaphones teamed up with a classic car club to try to grab the attention of the holder of an unclaimed ticket worth £956,813.

The four-car MG procession called at Abingdon, Wantage and Didcot with loud speakers to remind people to check their tickets.

The jackpot winning ticket was bought in the area last year but so far no one has claimed the prize.

Mum Charmaine Watson, 30, of Eynsham, won £2.3m in 2005.

She said: “That money could change somebody’s life, especially now in the recession. It could be a mistake or somebody may have misplaced the ticket.”

Retired printer Ron Cook, 77, of Wallingford, won £245,142 in October last year.

He said: “We hope we’ve triggered someone’s memory to check their ticket.”

The ticket with numbers 9, 21, 35, 38, 46 and 49, was bought on December 18 last year in the Vale of White Horse area.

The ticketholder has until 5.30pm on June 16 to claim the prize before it is given to good causes. Anyone who believes they have the ticket should call the National Lottery on 0845 9100000.
